SERVE REVENGE COLD

9yo 16.3h bay Thoroughbred gelding

$8,500

Ask anyone who is very knowledgeable about racehorses and they’ll tell you that TB war horses are just special.

SERVE REVENGE COLD (What a great name!)Raced 57x winning 220 k

This epic war horse just oozes class… He held up to racing 57x and retired sound, so he should find sporthorse life easy in comparison. He’s a big solid boy who is going to take up plenty of leg. Working nicely on the bit, starting his dressage education. We could see him doing a variety of jobs—-eventing, dressage, jumpers, etc. Has a slow lopey balanced canter that is going to be really dreamy. Will be on the quieter side of the scale.

Brave to ride, lives inside or out, no vices. He was even great for body clipping. Stands nicely at mounting block. He’s a class act.
Listing for his owner, he’s a very special boy who is going to make a class horse for someone.

IMP

5yo 16.2 Chestnut Thoroughbred gelding

Eventing at the baby starter level

$15,000

Something speaks to us about this one. If he were a person he’d be a rugby player or a football player…. He’d be the guy on the team you can count on, the guy that matches into battle and doesn’t flinch… the guy who does his job as its asked of him… The kind of guy you’d want to have a beer with. He is SOLID! Come to think of it, those are great attributes for an event horse too.

First sporthorse shoes without fuss. Taken away from his paddock friend, without a fuss.
Man we love a horse who is all business. A consummate professional who doesn’t make life harder than it has to be. Plus he is a TANK and takes up so much leg.

Photo taken within 24 hours of arrival so don’t worry, we’ll fatten him up quickly…

He has taken so quickly and easily to this sporthorse life! Ran his first mini trial in May where he was so quiet, easy, and calm. A total class act! Finished 3rd adding only one rail to his dressage score, and left us saying “I love this horse!” All day long.

HOUDINI

6yo 16.2 bay Thoroughbred gelding

Eventing at the green as grass level

$15,000

The day this one arrived, we all just stopped and stared. Wow just wow. This boy is thick and looks like a high dollar hunter you’d find at WEC. Plus he’s a total class act.

Houdini ran his first mini trial in May where he knocked our socks off at how quiet, easy, and willing he is! He was so quiet and calm in all the warmups and on course, and won his division start to finish! He’s not just a pretty face, he’s a class act and left us all absolutely wowed!

SEAN
5YO STEEL GREY 17h TB G

$20,000

This boy is TALL and takes up all the leg! Sean has amateur dream horse written all over him! He is QUIET, brave, uncomplicated, and fun! He is unphased about having a few days off work, unphased about rider nerves or mistakes, and unphased about rider balance. Sean is remarkably uncomplicated and kind. Brave, willing, and trainable, he is a lovely quality horse and hard to find option for the taller rider.

Sean is easy to get on the bit and has a beautiful way of going. He is confidently jumping starter level show jumping and cross country, proving to be exceptionally brave and easy and fun. He is entered in his first horse trial in early May.

Sean is the TB for non TB lovers—-he is so chill! If he was a human, he’d be a cute surfer boy with a gorgeous six pack but the most laid back relaxed attitude on life. He is incredible.

Sean is very very quality, and would be a phenomenal option for an amateur rider looking for an event horse, hunter, dressage horse.

FELIX
4yo 16.2h TB G

$10,000

The first time we saw Felix, we all said, “Oh my!” This horse is BUILT, with a solid thick warmblood type build. If we could 3D print a TB, this is how we would want them built!

Felix was too slow to even make it to a race, but he’s built to be a sporthorse and we love that about him. Felix is quite brave and easy to train, with a willing temperament and great outlook on life. He’s a very fancy uphill attractive type who could do pure dressage or could win the dressage in eventing. This is a seriously classy horse!

Felix is currently working nicely on the bit and started over fences. He is a very amateur appropriate young TB to develop under the knowledgeable eye of your trainer.

His dream job? Amateur event horse, dressage, or jumper. He is a very nice horse who could go in so many directions

SALES POLICIES &
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I see your full sales list?

We are unusual in the fact that we are a busy competition barn that is constantly producing 20 horses at any time. While all are intended for sale at some point in the future, the horses are not necessarily marketed as we like to have a bit of fun with them first! We train and produce them until they are very confident and ready to excel in new homes. We are extremely proud of the fact that most of our buyers are repeat customers or referrals from satisfied customers. If you are currently in the market for a horse and don’t see what you’re looking for here, we have many horses in the barn that are not listed but could be available if they met their perfect match. Send us an email at info@veronaequestrian.com and let us know what you’re looking for!

We’d like to come try horses! Any travel advice?

We are just 25 minutes to Cincinnati OH, 60 minutes to Lexington KY, 60 minutes to Louisville KY. If you are flying in, we suggest the CVG Airport just 20 minutes away. LEX is 60 minutes and SDF 75 minutes. We have a great local vineyard located nearby and highly suggest booking their Air BnB and going for a visit while you are here!

Do you offer leases or trial periods?

Sorry, we do not offer leases or trial periods. Our horses are all in full training on our farm and are in high demand. We cannot send them off the farm for trials or leases as we are busily enjoying showing, training, and producing them in our program.

Do you require deposits?

If you’d like to do a veterinary pre-purchase exam on a horse you intend to purchase, we require a $500 non refundable deposit to hold the horse off the market for 7 days. This deposit will be applied to the purchase price of the horse when you purchase it. The deposit holds the horse off the market for 7 days to allow you to do a pre-purchase exam, review films, complete payment, and ship the horse. If horse is not paid for in full by the end of the deposit period, horse will be considered available on the market and the deposit is forfeited. Why do many sellers require this now? Because when we list a horse, we may get 200+ inquiries on that horse. Taking a horse off the market means we are missing out on other buyers in that time period. We also spend 3-6 hours of our time with at least 2 staff meeting a vet for a PPE.

****Please Remember**** If you haven’t put a deposit down on a horse, it remains on the market and may sell even though you are booking a PPE. We have great horses that are in high demand, and frequently and multiple buyers wanting the same horse. There are NO holds placed on any horse unless you have a signed deposit agreement and deposit.

What if it takes longer than 7 days to ship the horse?

We usually find it pretty easy to ship horses quickly because we are located in Kentucky and many shippers are based here or have a regular route here. We are happy to help find shipping options for clients. Board is included for 7 days with the deposit. After that time, board will be billed at $40/day. Buyers generally want to get their new toys home as quickly as possible, and we appreciate that as well since stall space is always at a premium with a wait list of training horses coming in.

How can we pay for our new horse?

We accept wire transfer, Paypal, and Venmo.

Special Fees:

* $50 to try a sales horses on a Sunday

* $50 to try a horse after 4:00 PM

*$50 to try a horse more than once. Credited to purchase price of horse when purchased.

•$100 for a domestic horse and $200 for an import to send someone else to try the horse for you. Credited to purchase price of horse when purchased.

* $500 non-refundable deposit to hold a horse for 7 days off market for PPE. Credited against the purchase price of the horse when purchased.

•Kentucky buyers will be billed 6% sales tax as required by state law.

STEPS TO BUYING YOUR NEW HORSE! Think of us as your concierge to help you with every step of the horse buying process.

Step 1: Come try the horse and pick out the one you like!

Step 2A: You Choose To Do A Vetting: $500 nonrefundable deposit puts the horse on hold for you for one week, so that you have first right of refusal to buy the horse. That gives you a week to have a vetting (usually takes 2-4 days), review vetting (1 day), and pay for horse (1 day—wire transfers show up next day). Deposit applies towards purchase price of horse.

OR

Step 2B: You choose no vetting. You can proceed to immediately pay for and take home your horse!
