AMANDA WALKER

Amanda Walker is a talented up and coming professional who we are so proud to team up with as the Assistant Trainer at Verona Equestrian. Amanda excels at producing young horses from scratch up through the levels. Her exceptional work ethic and passion for horses shines through in her riding, and she has developed the ability to gain the trust of some incredibly difficult horses. Her first event horse Runaway Romeo was pulled from auction for slaughter by Copper Horse Crusade rescue and purchased by Amanda for $800. Romeo began a challenging and misunderstood horse with pneumonia, trust issues, and famously ran away from his first horse trial for miles down the highway, hence earning his name. Through Amanda’s hard work and patience, they developed into an incredible partnership, with highlights including 3rd place at the American Eventing Championships, 1st place at Grand Oaks HT, and being named the USEA high point Young Adult Rider of the year at the novice level.
